PM pays homage to Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at his portrait

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait on the occasion of the National Mourning Day and the 47th martyrdom anniversary of the father of the nation.
The prime minister placed a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of bangabandhu memorial museum at dhanmondi-32 at 6:30am. At first, he paid homage to the portrait of the Father of the Nation as prime minister. At this time, the members of the armed forces gave honor guards, the sound of the bugle was played. Later, the prime minister took part in fateha recitation and munajat.
Later, as the President of Awami League, the party’s top leaders paid homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu for the second time.
After placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu, the prime minister went inside the historic Bangabandhu Bhaban to pay homage. He stayed there for about half an hour.
Later, the prime minister went to Banani graveyard from Dhanmondi. There, on August 15, he paid homage to the martyr’s grave.
