PM pays homage to kin of August 15 martyrs at Banani graveyard

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today paid rich tributes to father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of the National Mourning Day and the 47th martyrdom anniversary of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to the family members of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his grave and sprinkling flower petals at Banani Graveyard at 7:20am.
Members of the armed forces presented a guard of honour at the time. Later, the prime minister took part in fateha recitation and munajat.
After paying homage as the Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, along with the top leaders of the awami league, paid homage by placing wreaths for the second time as the president of the party. When the Prime Minister left the Banani graveyard area, the grave of bangabandhu’s family members was opened for all to pay homage.
Later, awami league, chhatra league, jubo league, swechchhasebak league, mohila awami league, jubo mohila league, sramik league, different associate and fraternal organizations of awami league, different educational institutions, different ministries and departments of the government, different social and cultural organizations and people of different classes and professions paid homage to the family members of Bangabandhu.
